Steven Karr established Pride Pak Canada Ltd. (“Pride Pak”) in 1984 to service what he saw as a need to meet Canada’s growing trend for high quality, healthy, easy to use fresh food. We now proudly operate as Canada’s largest fresh fruit and vegetable processor from a state-of-the-art facility in Mississauga. In 2006 we opened our second facility Pride Pak Nfld. Ltd, which processes fresh fruit and vegetables for the Province of Newfoundland.

Please note that our Production areas are refrigerated to 5°C (40°F), and employees are required to dress accordingly. We offer employment opportunities on days, afternoons and night shifts with some positions requiring weekend work. Computer Network Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently looking for an experienced Computer Network Technician to join our growing team! Expect daily responsibilities in network administration, maintenance, support, and other IT internal procedures! You would be supporting our team and managing our network and other security processes while getting involved with exciting new projects!

• Administer servers and desktops and conduct repair and maintenance of networks and workstations, as needed
  • As approved by management, install and maintain computer operating system and internal applications and ensure smooth operations
  • Set-up maintenance procedures aimed at keeping the performance of all computer systems and networks at par with company and operational standards
  • Serve as main point of contact for all enquiries and problem-solving procedures across the platform of internal users
  • Perform installation and maintenance of web-servers and routine network start-up
  • Implement network traffic and monitor intranet use (email, sharedpoint, navigation, etc.) Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
  • Responsible for performing data backup, recovery options, and data integration
  • Responsible for overall system security and ensure that client data is secured
  • May evaluate and suggest a variety of applications and software upgrades, as deemed necessary

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• At least a highschool diploma (Professional Diploma preferred) and 2-less than 3 years of experience as Computer Network Technician with excellent experience in network security
  • Experience working with system and data back-up and integration, EAI, Virtualization, SAN, Vcloud, MS-SQL
  • Good English language skills
  • Ability to work in a busy environment as part of a fast-paced team

WHAT WE OFFER

• Full-time permanent position
  • Competitive salary package! $35.00 per hour for at least 30 hours per week. Overtime rate of $48.00 after 44 hours of work per week
