Job Description

Milky’s Inc. is seeking a Café Manager to oversee daily operations across two café locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating operations, and ensuring consistent service quality across both sites.

This is a hands-on role requiring active involvement in daily operations, staff supervision, and maintaining operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate operations across both café locations
  • Support the development and implementation of seasonal beverage offerings and menu items
  • Maintain quality control over beverage preparation, ingredients, and presentation
  • Train and mentor staff in café operations and standardized preparation methods
  • Recruit, schedule, and supervise staff across both locations
  • Monitor revenues, control costs, and assist in adjusting operational procedures to improve efficiency
  • Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers for food and beverage products
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
  • Resolve customer concerns and maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Coordinate staffing and operations between both locations to ensure consistency and continuity

Employment Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in café, restaurant, or food service supervision or management
  • Experience working in a café or specialty coffee environment is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to train staff and maintain consistent service standards
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Compensation

Hours: 30 hours per week
Annual Salary: $56,160 per year

Overtime: Overtime pay applicable after 44 hours per week in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act
