| Salary: | $22.00 per hour–The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions. |
| Other benefits: | Group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on a cost sharing basis would be offered upon completion of three months of employment period with the organization |
| Vacation: | 4% of the gross salary |
| Hours of Work: | 35-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Operate Welding/Soldering machine to fabricate and repair metal parts, production machinery.
- Operate brazing, soldering equipment and metal shaping machines such as brakes and shears.
- Operate Basic and Powered Hand Tools. i.e. Metal Cutting saws, Cutting Torches, Drills, Disc Grinders etc.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Assist in inspection of mechanical installations
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing, soldering and other production equipment
Employment Requirements
- Completion of Secondary school is required.
- Prior work experience of 7-12 months in Welding/Soldering or fabricating metal parts is required
- Weight handling up to 50 lbs
