Job Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Finance and Revenue Officer to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will utilize his/her experience in ensuring financial accuracy and establishing bookkeeping standards at a very high level.
We are looking for a hard-working professional who can help us achieve more by developing and implementing the best possible promotional strategies as we navigate the new normal!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep day-to-day financial records for client accounts using computerized bookkeeping system, spreadsheets, and accounting database.
- Maintain and balance general ledgers and client cash flow spreadsheets to ensure accurate debit and credit transactions are recorded for expenditures, receipts, A/P, A/R and invoicing purposes.
- Prepare, manage, and post journal entries, submit monthly reconciliation reports for individual client accounts, and communicate information to clients.
- Calculate, prepare and process cheques for internal operating expenditures (i.e. supplies, utilities, etc.) and client accounts (service fees), and issue invoices.
- Participate in the production of monthly financial reports, balance sheets and income statements for individual client accounts.
- Analyze reports and accounting data to verify accuracy in figures, posting, and reports, and raise issues and/or concerns (i.e. debt levels, variances, etc.) and make solution recommendations to management.
- Prepare all forms related to regulatory, worker’s compensation (WSIB) and government tax requirements (including calculating restricted input tax credits for HST), ensuring compliance and timely submission.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management, as required.
Requirements
- College Diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field;
- At least 2 years of experience working as a financial or accounting clerk;
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills with clear, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Knowledge of other languages will be considered as a great asset
Compensation
- Full-time, permanent position
- $41,000.00 annual at 30 hours per week
- Overtime may apply if work exceeds 44 hours per week – schedule will be discussed
