Salary & Terms

Wage: $28.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: Early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekends, shift work, flexible hours

Requirements

• Language: English

• Asset Language: Tagalog

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

• Experience preparing traditional Filipino dishes such as inihaw (grilled meats), adobo, sinigang, kare-kare, pancit, and other regional specialties is a strong asset

Key Responsibilities

• Determine size of food portions and estimate food costs

• Plan menus and estimate food requirements (Filipino cuisine specialty)

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes

• Prepare meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances

• Inspect kitchens and food service areas

• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and safe food handling

• Order supplies and equipment

• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment

• Clean kitchen and work areas

• Manage kitchen operations
