Salary: $57,600.00 per annum–The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Other benefits: Group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on a cost sharing basis would be offered upon completion of three months of employment period with the organization
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 30.00 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and administration of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records, including contracts, agreements, and HR documentation, temporary employee timesheets, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide support for payroll processing, administration, and employee onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Covertech Industries Limited and third-party staffing agencies to fulfill temporary labour requirements during peak production seasons and project-based demand.
  • Coordinate workforce planning to assess short-term and long-term staffing needs, particularly during seasonal production increases.
  • Communicate staffing requirements to external recruitment agencies, negotiate service terms when required, review agency agreements, and monitor fulfillment timelines
  • Oversee onboarding of temporary agency workers, including site orientation, health and safety briefings, policy acknowledgments, and work assignment coordination
  • Assist with recruitment processes by coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters, and ensuring compliance with employment standards.
  • Assist in employee relations initiatives, including addressing inquiries, facilitating communication, and supporting performance management processes.
  • Maintain HR databases and files, including independent contractor and third-party agency agreements.
  • Prepare HR-related reports, correspondence, and documentation as needed.
  • Support compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation and internal company policies.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the human resource sector/personnel administration is required.
  • College level diploma in a field related to personnel management such as business administration, human resources management, commerce or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Possess an understanding and working knowledge of MS Office suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
