Role Overview
This is your opportunity to contribute to complex software development projects within a global technology environment. We are currently seeking a Senior Tech Lead – Testing and Automation to support the development, integration, and optimization of software applications, including cloud-based systems and data migration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Tech Lead – Testing and Automation, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Write test plans and define test strategies for data migration from on-premises databases to various cloud platforms
- Design test automation framework for functional and non-functional requirements
- Share QA matrices and test summary reports in every sprint and enhance existing automation frameworks to accommodate project-level changes
- Suggest improvements to decrease the cycle time of development stories as well as QA processes
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Implement automation in the project and perform script generation procedures
- Interact with clients to analyze project-based requirements
- Prepare day-to-day reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
- Collect and document users’ requirements and develop logical and physical specifications
- Review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in software development environments, including testing, automation, and system integration, with demonstrated experience leading testing initiatives or project components
- Experience with automation tools such as Rest-Assured, Cypress, Gatling, and ReadyAPI
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Experience working with cloud-based systems and data migration projects is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Good English language skills
Compensation and Benefits
- Permanent, full-time position – minimum of 40 hours per week
- $130,000.00 per year
- Comprehensive group benefits package, including health and dental coverage
- This position is performed in a hybrid work arrangement within Canada, with a combination of remote work and on-site presence as required. Travel to client sites may be required based on project requirements.
