Position Summary

Nett Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Welder to join its manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding precision metal components used in the production of emission control and exhaust systems.

This position requires a high level of technical skill, accuracy, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality workmanship while meeting established production, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, work orders, and fabrication specifications.
  • Perform precision MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel components.
  • Fabricate, fit, align, and assemble metal components used in catalytic converters, silencers, exhaust systems, and related emission control products.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Operate metal fabrication equipment used for cutting, grinding, shaping, polishing, and finishing metal components.
  • Examine welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and company quality standards.
  • Identify and correct welding or fabrication defects to maintain product quality and structural integrity.
  • Select appropriate welding equipment, materials, and welding techniques based on production specifications.
  • Maintain welding machines, tools, and related equipment in proper working condition.
  • Follow established welding procedures, quality assurance standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with production personnel, supervisors, and quality control staff to meet manufacturing targets and delivery schedules.
  • Complete production records and report equipment issues, material defects, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Employment Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school.
  • At least three (3) years of recent and directly related experience as a Welder in a
  • manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
  • FCAW welding experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, technical specifications, and welding symbols
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication processes, equipment setup, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform accurate and consistent welding work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
  • Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality workmanship and safety standards.

Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
  • Wage: CAD $37.00 per hour.
  • Overtime: Overtime will be paid after 44 hours per week in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
