Job Overview

Responsibilities:
As an Aluminum Door and Window Installer, you will be expected to:

  • Read work order specifications and measure window and door areas to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Clean and prepare work areas for installations by marking targeted surfaces.
  • Prepare materials for installation, including doors, windows, and necessary hardware.
  • Install, repair, and service interior prefabricated windows and doors using hand and power tools.
  • Dispose of existing windows, doors, and boards as needed.
  • Conduct necessary tests after installation to ensure quality assurance.
  • Return furniture and appliances to their original positions if necessary.
  • Perform post-installation cleanup and ensure all invoices are signed by customers.

Qualifications:

  • On-the-job training will be provided, but a willingness to learn about environmentally friendly installation materials (caulking, sealant, adhesive materials) is essential.
  • At least 7 months of experience in installing various types of windows (bay, bow, casement, etc.) is preferred.
  • Prior experience with aluminum doors and working with innovative interactive glass products (e.g., Seloy Live, film coating) is a significant asset.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and effectively explain condensation issues to clients, including prevention methods, is highly desirable.
  • Must be capable of handling heavy materials (lifting may be required).
  • Basic English language skills are required.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety and proper lifting/handling procedures.
  • Some secondary school education is an asset but not mandatory.
