Auto body Estimator

Maranello BMW is a premier BMW dealership serving Woodbridge and the Greater Toronto Area, offering new and preowned BMW vehicles, certified service, and genuine BMW parts. In addition to its full-service dealership operations, Maranello BMW operates a dedicated, manufacturer aligned Collision Repair Centre on site.

The Maranello BMW Collision Centre is equipped to handle everything from minor cosmetic repairs to major structural collision restoration. The facility utilizes BMW approved repair methods, specialized tools, computerized measuring systems, and manufacturer specified equipment to ensure every vehicle is restored according to BMW factory standards.

We are currently seeking a skilled Auto body Estimator to join our Collision Centre team.

• Perform detailed evaluations of collision related damage on BMW vehicles and develop accurate repair estimates in line with manufacturer repair procedures
• Conduct structural damage assessments involving frame and unibody analysis in accordance with BMW repair procedures and technical specifications
• Interpret structural and refinishing requirements using BMW approved systems and collision estimating software
• Prepare clear and itemized repair proposals outlining labour operations, parts requirements, structural procedures, and refinishing processes
• Review and finalize collision repair estimates prior to repair authorization to ensure accuracy and compliance with BMW OEM procedures
• Coordinate repair scheduling and workflow to support timely completion of collision repairs and efficient shop operations
• Handle insurance related repair claims, negotiate supplemental repair approvals, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
• Work directly with clients to explain repair strategies, timelines, and next steps within the collision process
• Collaborate closely with BMW certified technicians to align repair plans with technical specifications and shop workflow requirements
• Manage ordering and verification of genuine BMW parts and related materials
• Ensure compliance with BMW OEM certification standards, audit requirements, and quality control protocols
• Review completed repairs to ensure alignment with BMW quality, safety, and appearance standards prior to vehicle delivery

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is required; post secondary training in autobody repair, collision damage appraisal, or a related field is considered an asset
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in an OEM dealership, collision repair facility, or certified automotive repair environment is required
• Experience handling collision related repairs, repair coordination, vehicle damage assessments, or insurance related automotive claims is considered a strong asset
• Experience preparing repair estimates and coordinating collision repair workflow is considered an asset
• Proficiency with industry estimating systems and familiarity with insurance claim procedures is required
• Strong understanding of modern collision repair practices, structural repair methods, and refinishing standards
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and record keeping abilities
• Professional communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, technicians, suppliers, and insurance representatives
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, high standard dealership or certified collision repair environment

Compensation

• Hourly rate at $36.00
• Based on a minimum of 40 hours per week
