Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, and other materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials accurately to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to client specifications.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in good working order.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter Joiner or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Languages:English

Education:Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:Will train

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
