Position Overview
A Gas Station Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of a gas station. The position will oversee multiple aspects of the business, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, and financial tasks.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate a team of sales associates and support staff.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Ensure a high level of customer service at all times.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics.
- Develop strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and oversee stock management.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and operational standards.
- Prepare and manage budgets.
- Control expenses and optimize profitability.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to execute sales promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Drive store traffic and customer engagement through effective marketing initiatives.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and product availability.
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the store.
- Ensure a safe and inviting shopping environment for customers and staff.
Employment Requirements
- Prior 1-2 years’ experience in a retail environment in the supervisory role is required.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
- Strong understanding of sales and inventory systems, with a willingness to learn and grow in financial and operational management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Completion of secondary school is required.
