Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 32-44 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Position Overview

A Gas Station Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of a gas station. The position will oversee multiple aspects of the business, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, and financial tasks.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate a team of sales associates and support staff.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Develop strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and oversee stock management.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets.
  • Control expenses and optimize profitability.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to execute sales promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Drive store traffic and customer engagement through effective marketing initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and product availability.
  • Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the store.
  • Ensure a safe and inviting shopping environment for customers and staff.

Employment Requirements

  • Prior 1-2 years’ experience in a retail environment in the supervisory role is required.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of sales and inventory systems, with a willingness to learn and grow in financial and operational management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
