Location:    Etobicoke, ON (M8W 0B5)
Rate:            $21.00/hour | 40 hours per week
Full-Time | Permanent | Flexible Shifts (Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend)
On-Site Position | Start Immediately

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide care for a school-aged child (6–12 years) with global developmental delay and other health issues in a private home setting in Etobicoke. If you are patient, reliable, and experienced in supporting children with special needs, we would love to hear from you.

Position Overview

This role involves providing attentive personal care and daily living support in a safe, non-smoking home environment. The work must be performed on site.

Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge (this is not a condition of employment). Staff accommodation is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care

• Administer medications as directed

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene

• Support with mobility and regular exercise (e.g., walking)

• Feed or assist with feeding

• Bathe, diaper, and provide care as needed

• Monitor, document, and report symptoms or changes in condition

• Provide attentive and compassionate care tailored to a child with special needs

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience

• Experience working with children with special needs

• Experience assisting individuals with mobility challenges

• Strong English communication skills

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Non-smoking environment

• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking

• Standing for extended periods

• Bending, crouching, kneeling

• Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
