About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide personal care and companionship in a private home in Mississauga. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the daily life of individuals requiring personal support.

Work Location: On-site (Work must be completed at the employer’s/client’s home. Remote work is not available.)

Work Environment

• Non-smoking environment
• Work in employer’s/client’s home
• Optional live-in accommodation available at no charge (live-in is not a condition of employment)
• Staff accommodation available

Key Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene
• Assist clients in water (e.g., pool)
• Support clients with regular exercise, including walking
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook meals according to client needs
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Provide ongoing personal care and assistance with daily living activities

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Previous experience is an asset; training will be provided
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
