JOB OPPORTUNITY – MACHINISTS (5 POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

Sprig Steel is seeking experienced and skilled Machinists to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in machining who are looking to work in a stable and growth-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities:                                     

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines to fabricate metal and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to determine machining specifications
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure quality control
• Monitor machines for optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure machinery is in good working condition
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety standards
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school or its equivalent;
• Technical certification or diploma in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is an asset
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a machinist, machine operator or in a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting;
• Proficiency in operating CNC and manual lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and tools
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in machining operations
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
