FV FOODS is an established bakery manufacturing plant specializing in Filipino baked products and desserts, producing a variety of traditional and popular Filipino bakery products for the Canadian market.

As our production operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and highly organized Production Manager – Manufacturing to oversee our bakery production operations and lead our manufacturing team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our bakery manufacturing facility, ensuring that production schedules, staffing, inventory, equipment and quality-control processes support consistent and efficient production.

The successful candidate will supervise a production workforce of more than 20 employees and help ensure that our Filipino baked products and desserts are produced according to established quality and operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

✓ College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

✓ 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience

✓ Experience in food manufacturing and production operations

✓ Experience with bakery goods and desserts

✓ Experience supervising and managing a large production team

✓ Strong production planning, inventory and quality-control skills

✓ Excellent oral and written English communication skills

✓ Tagalog is considered an asset

✓ Strong judgment, organization, reliability, teamwork, values and ethics

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop production schedules and employee duty assignments
• Plan, organize and evaluate daily bakery production operations
• Maintain inventories of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages
• Coordinate production requirements to support efficient manufacturing
• Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend machinery replacement when required
• Direct quality-control inspections
• Hire, supervise and train employees
• Oversee training involving new equipment and production techniques
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Plan and implement improvements to machinery, production systems and methods of work
• Plan and manage departmental budgets
• Help maintain consistent production standards across bakery operations
